Well as usual, the Vel Satis is a giving me grIif, so it had to go.
Spent way too much on her and with the road tax now £360 for the 3.5v6, a decision had to be made.
So, if you see a Vel Satis for sale NX52CYW, It only needs a steering sensor and or pump fitted, an alternator and a parasitic draw sorting out, as it kept draining the battery after 4 days.
It had new rear control arm bushes, rear roll bar bushes, all drop links, discs and pads done, new front wishbones, new bilstein rear suspension and lots more done to it.
I have the steering pump and sensor and a new GPS antenna here if someone wants to buy them cheap!
Best of luck to you with these cars, they are lovely but as usual with a French mistress, high revving adrenalin fuel ride but at a cost!

Hi BB
I tried to look at the auction but I am not trade, so no luck. Can you let me know what it goes for?
cheers

Good to speak to you today, Trevor. Your car is being auctioned tomorrow at 1pm BCA Bristol.
Ive owned a Vel Satis since 2003 and they aren’t great in so many ways. But they are individual, quirky and interesting. I don’t blame anyone giving up on almost any French car from around 20 years ago - they are too much like hard work.
Very sad you have to call it a day. You have certainly persevered and done everything possible to keep your Vel Satis on the road.
I have been very lucky with the three I have had. No idiosyncratic unfixable problems. The last one, a 3.5 starts first turn after 6 weeks unused. Good luck with what you move to next.
