On Monday I lost the small triangular trim piece fitted to the drivers side front wing - probably when during the high winds, my car was hit by a small piece of falling wood. No other damage fortunately but I was a bit dismayed to find the trim piece missing when I got home. The plastic backing was still firmly attached but the shiny painted alloy trim plate had fallen off, due to the glue that holds it to the plastic backing failing. I checked the passenger side panel and that was loose as well, and fell off into my hand. Then the front trim panel on the driver's door did the same thing - glue all dried out and cracked. So I have 2 bits on my garage shelf now awaiting repaint and re-gluing and need to locate the driver's side trim - does anyone know of a Vel Satis being broken in the UK? EBay is no help - there is one in the Netherlands but the cost is about what my whole car is worth....
So, if you have a moment give your black trims a waggle - if anything feels loose then it might be wise to try and remove it before it drops off, and reglue.

Thanks for that I will contact via eBay. I have ordered a small piece of alloy to have a go at making my own 'temporary' replacement....
Hello Dpress
Like me, you have been around a long time. I think it was Trevorsellars on this forum who was 3D printing the window triangular trims. There is someone on ebay selling vel satis wheels but says have other parts so could give them a call. Screen capture attached
Its a great shout and something i check all the time. I had a breaker car myself but unfortunately used them up all around. Sorry thats not much help. Although we really need someone to start manufacturing some spares up ! I think there was someone who was going to make them via a 3D printer but then I never heard anything further
